Your games screen lists every game in progress as a tile - click one to pick
up where you left off, or + NEW GAME to start another. Finished games move to
the History list below - click one to replay it move by move with the
PREV/NEXT controls under the board, or click any move in the move list to
jump straight there. Every move is saved automatically, no save button
needed. Click GAMES any time to get back to that screen.
Standard chess rules. Click a piece on your turn to see its legal moves
highlighted, then click a highlighted square to move there. Castling, en
passant, and pawn promotion are all handled automatically when legal. Blue
always moves first. + NEW GAME opens the opponent picker - CPU for a bot at
Easy (~600), Normal (~1000), or Hard (~1400), or ONLINE for a game against
another player over the network. UNDO (above the move list) takes back the
last move (CPU mode only - online games can't be undone once a move is
sent).
Online games use a code per player, not one shared code. While you wait for
an opponent, the panel beside the board shows their code - tap it to
copy an invite link to send them. Once they join, it switches to your
code: tap to copy it, then connect with it from + NEW GAME on another device
to pick the same game back up there.
The dot shows the connection - pulsing amber while waiting for your opponent,
green when connected, red if something went wrong.
SETTINGS sets your display name (shown in place of Blue/Pink, and to your
online opponent) and turns move confirmation and opponent-move
notifications on or off.
